Major uses a credit-based billing system. Credits (denominated in USD) are consumed by AI coding sessions, AI proxy usage, and app deployments.

Free Tier

Every organization starts on the free tier with:
  • $2.00 in daily credits — reset at midnight UTC
  • 2 apps maximum
  • 2 deployed apps maximum
  • 1 builder (users who can create apps)
  • 3 viewers (users with member access)

Team Plans

Team plans increase limits to 15 builders, 50 viewers, and unlimited apps. Plans are available in monthly and annual billing intervals.

Plans are billed monthly or annually. Annual plans include a 20% credit bonus on top of the monthly balance. When you select an annual plan, the pricing display breaks down the cost as the base monthly price plus the bonus credit value, making the total benefit more transparent. Unused credits roll over for 30 days on monthly plans and 365 days on annual plans. Team plans also enable domain auto-enrollment — new users who sign up with your organization’s email domain are automatically added.

Wallet & Credits

Your organization has a wallet that holds available credits. Credits are spent during:
  • Coding Sessions — AI-powered app building and modifications
  • AI Proxy — API requests through Major’s managed LLM gateway
  • App Compute — running deployed applications

Overage Credits

When your balance reaches zero, you can purchase additional credits (overage). Overage credits are applied to your wallet immediately. If your account has accrued debt from overage usage, purchasing new credits automatically forgives the negative balance and credits your wallet with the full purchase amount.

Auto-Refill

Enable auto-refill in settings to automatically purchase credits when your balance drops below a threshold. Set your target balance and maximum monthly spending to stay within budget.

Credit Precision

Credit amounts support up to 6 decimal places to accommodate sub-cent AI inference costs. Your wallet balance and transaction history reflect this precision.

Usage Dashboard

View your monthly spending broken down by category:
  • Coding Sessions — AI coder agent usage
  • AI Proxy — LLM API calls through the managed proxy
  • App Compute — deployed application infrastructure
Go to Organization Settings > Usage to see a daily breakdown with charts and summary cards. You can navigate between months to track spending trends.

Frontend App Usage Tracking

Major tracks both anonymous and authenticated user access to your deployed frontend applications. When users authenticate and access your apps, Major records usage metrics and last-seen timestamps. This data powers your analytics and helps track active users for billing purposes.

Managing Your Plan

  1. Go to Organization Settings > Billing
  2. View your current plan, credit balance, and usage
  3. Click Upgrade to switch to a team plan or adjust your subscription
Billing is managed through Stripe Checkout. You can update payment methods, view invoices, and manage your subscription from the billing settings.
